Within the cultural, entertainment and sport events of the International Specialized Exhibition EXPO 2017, between July 18 and 30 the “Romeo and Juliet” musical will be presented at the «Palace of Peace and Reconciliation».
It is based on the romantic story of the tragic love of young Romeo and Juliet, created more than four centuries ago by the greatest English writer William Shakespeare. The author of the music and lyrics is Gérard Presgurvic. Since its premiere in Paris on January 19, 2001 the musical has been performed in French, Dutch, English, German, Italian, Hungarian, Korean, Japanese, Spanish, Russian, and Hebrew. Translated by Gulnar Salykbay and directed by Askhat Mayemirov.
